Bulino su matrice di rame, impresso su carta vergellata priva di filigrana e databile al primo quarto del XVI sec. Monogramma su pietra in basso a destra, data 1519 in alto al centro. Stato unico, seconda variante su tre (Meder 89 b/c). Rifilata all’impronta del rame, quasi sempre visibile. Esemplare in buono stato di conservazione, segni puliti e vividi; abilissime integrazioni agli angoli. WINKLER 263 - Come quasi tutte le incisioni successive al 1514 è priva di qualsiasi paesaggio sullo sfondo. Tutto, persino i polli, viene raffigurato con un’intensità che induce a chiedersi se non sia un eccesso di zelo. Engraving on laid paper without watermark, datable to the first quarter of 16th century. Monogram on the lower right, date 1519 on the upper centre. Meder 89 b/c. Trimmed just on the platemark, almost always visible. Excellent conditions, clean and vivid signs; corners skilfully replaced and redrawn. WINKLER 263 - Like almost all engravings after 1514, devoid of any landscape in the background. Everything, even the chickens, is shown with an intensity which prompts the question whether this is not too much of a good thing.
