woodcut letterpress. Text in vernacular Italian and printed in italics;
beautiful woodcut historiated initials.
The rare volume is the first Italian edition of an important collection of
treatises on mineralogy, metallurgy and the study of fossils, first
published in Latin in Basel in 1546.
Excellent condition; light foxing in very few leaves.
