Bulino su matrice di rame, impresso su carta vergellata priva di filigrana e databile al primo quarto del sec. XVI; al verso due timbri di collezione ‘KO’ (sbiadito) e ‘WH III’ (entrambi non in Lugt). Monogramma su tavoletta al centro a sinistra su un tronco di legno. Stato unico, seconda variante su tre (Meder 92 b/c). Rifilata all’impronta del rame. Esemplare in ottimo stato di conservazione dall’inchiostratura nitida su lastra ben pulita; piccola grinza di stampa più visibile al verso. WÖLFFLIN 142 - Si tratta della continuazione del ‘motivo di Adamo’ in immagine speculare, ben bilanciata e arricchita da un buon contrasto. WINKLER 137 - Basato sugli studi sulla costruzione proporzionale. Per quanto riguarda il soggetto, questa piccola incisione è legata alla Dama a cavallo e al Lanzichenecco e al cosiddetto Piccolo Corriere. Nel suo carattere, tuttavia, sembra più vicino ad Apollo e Diana che ai suoi compagni lanzichenecchi. Engraving on laid paper without watermark, datable to the first quarter of 16th century. Excellent conditions, sharply impression on cleaned platemark, little print-related wrinkle, more visible “on verso”.
